Would you like to face life's inevitable transitions with less anxiety? Do you wish you could accept endings with greater ease? Although the Bardo teachings from Tibetan Buddhism traditionally are applied to the end of life, they are also profoundly applicable to any challenging life transition.
The word "bardo" means "gap, a transitional process, an in-between state." Bardos occur constantly, as often as the gap between any two thoughts. Our lives are filled with in-between moments - those associated with change, illnesses, endings, loss, and finally the unknowing gap after death. The bardo concept applies directly to anything that ends – and what doesn’t?
The uncertainty, sense of groundlessness, anxiety, and fear that accompany times of transition are precisely what the bardo teachings were designed to address. These teachings offer valuable spiritual preparation for all life transitions, including death.
Equipped with the teachings in this program, you will be able to approach any challenging time with confidence and ease. The teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, conjoined with contributions from psychology, philosophy, and cognitive neuroscience, will show you how to bring any obstacle onto the path, and actually use it to accelerate psychological and spiritual growth.
The bardo teachings are not just about death, they are also about birth. Endings inevitably lead to beginnings. In this program, we will also explore how the bardo teachings offer opportunities to shape our futures with wisdom and compassion.
The teachings contained within the bardo principle are profound, one of the greatest gifts to humanity by one of the deepest wisdom traditions. In the Tantric and Alchemical traditions, the greater the obstacle the greater the opportunity.
